Nissan has had exponential success with their Nissan Rogue Crossover. So much success that they are looking to extend the line and offer the new 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport later this spring. It just debuted in the North American International Auto Show. It is described as the right sized SUV and should be just as successful as the Nissan Rogue. Along with the new Rogue Sport, Nissan also revealed a new Nissan sedan concept.
The Success of the Rogue
The Rogue, which was recently redesigned, broke the all-time U.S. single month sales record for an individual model in December. Nissan sold 40,477 Rogue’s that month alone. It also passed the Altima, which held the lead for a long time, as the most sold vehicle in the 2016 calendar year. This is such a hot new vehicle that Nissan could not wait any longer to add another trim to the lineup. In addition, they will be adding their first-ever Rogue Hybrid model in 2017, which will have a little less cargo capacity, slightly smaller dimensions, and sporty maneuverability than the current Rogue but is perfect for empty nesters or couples with children.
Special Features

You will even be able to add the Divide-N-Hide® Cargo System for more organization inside your Rogue Sport. There are other additions that make this vehicle more desirable. Some of these inclusions are Around View® Monitor (AVM), Moving Object Detection (MOD), and Nissan Intelligent safety Shield technologies which include Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Intelligent Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Forward Emergency. Under the hood, you will find a standard 141-horsepower 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve inline
4-cylinder Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG™) system engine. There is an Xtronic transmission to go along with it. Anyone looking to purchase a 2017 Rogue Sport will have the option of S, SV and SL grade levels this coming spring.
Details About The Rogue Sport
The entire build of the Rogue Sport is going to be slightly smaller than the other Rogue currently on the market. It will feature a 2.3 inch shorter wheelbase and will be 12.1 inches smaller, in terms of length, than the Rogue. This allows drivers to be a bit more mobile and flexible in their driving and can get into smaller spaces with ease. Even though it is smaller on the outside, there is still plenty of room on the inside with 61.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the 2nd row seat folded down.

It looks as though Nissan is making some big changes to their lineup and moving in the direction that buyers want. The company’s roadmap is helping them achieve zero emissions and this is just another step in that direction.
